‘Tribute’ is a soon-to-be-released indie film done by a friend back in Manitoba. Such an indie film that it is (and noting I had 2 days to write and record the whole thing) I set to work on an acoustic score for it. With everything taken into consideration, the tracks have the emotion and warmth of those in “Juno” and “Life is Strange” where sonic blemishes are appreciated as aesthetic choices. It doesn’t sound pop or top 40, because it’s not supposed to be. This is my little acoustic album, my little baby. People will be polite and say it’s cute or they won’t say anything at all, but what matters is that I love my baby. My baby is an extension of myself and maybe, just maybe, someone else with an appreciation for “Juno” and “Life is Strange” will love my baby as much as I do. My baby and I have the same birth day <3
